Boca Chica Beach is just 15 minutes from the capital of Santo Domingo and only 15 miles from the Las Americas International Aiport, is one of the country's jewels, with a large marina and yacht club. It boasts excellent hotel facilities and great restaurants. The beach is unique in that its greatest depth is a mere four feet, for which it is reputed to be the Caribbean's largest natural swimming pool, an ideal choice for the entire family. The beach is protected by a large coral reef, which safeguards it from waves and large fish.
